STRATFORD DAY BY DAY.
(From Our Resident Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. . At the inquest on the ;man James Feeney the medical evidence showed that tile cause of death -was oedema oi the lungs, caused by acute alcoholic poisoning. A verdict in accordance with the medial evidence was returned. The death is announced of Mr. G. Corbett. The Mayoral election has had the effect of arousing the Borough Council to action in regard to the electric light, and at the next meeting (on Mondav) Councillor Balfe will move the following motion:—"That .the borough solicitor be instructed to take steps to ascertain the position as between the Council and the Electrical Supply Company's concessions from the Council." (Stratford residents are pleased to ■hear of the success of two erstwhile residents of this town at the Edinburgh Hospital. Mr. P. McXab was at one time in the service of the Public Works Department here, and Mr. Johnston was a teacher at the local school. Both have .secured honors at the Winter J session.
