PRESBYTERIAN CLERGYMEN
THEIR SALARIES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received May 4, 11.55 p.m. Sydney, Last Night. In the Presbyterian Assembly Professor Mclntyre made a strong appeal for the payment of adequate stipends to ministers. He (pointed out that a Royal Commission's report showed that the cost of living in the Commonwealth ■had been increased from 20 to 25 per cent. This meant a great deal to a minister's stipend. It would be an eva day when a cheap church was asked for. If it ever did come, let them iblot out their historical motto and write "lchabod" in its place, for "our glory will have .departed."
