The Chronicle publishes the statement of the Italian Deputy, Giovanni Micele (who is correspondent of the Minanese newspaper II Secolo in Albania) asserting that, Sheevket Pasha's troops displayed al! the ferocious bestiality of the old Ottoman regime. Villages were burned, and women and children massacred. Albanian mothers, armed with obsolete guns, fought magnificently in defence of their children.
