A HAYTIAN PLOT

A Haytian plot organised at Kingston, Jamaica, to depose General Simon and proclaim General Firmin President of Hayti, was checked, owing to exPresident Nord Alexis, wlio was financing the Firminist revolution, dying suddenly in Jamaica. The cause oi death is unknown. The diseoveiy of the conspiracy in Port-au-Prince (capital jof Hayti) resulted in the imprisonment of many popular persons.
