Griffiths and Co., Xew Plymouth, are in receipt of the following market report from their London nrin eipaii, Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated the 18th March, 1910: The weather still continues changeable, and it has been much colder. Danish—Last week's advance was rather too high, and prices have not been maintained, with the result that yesterday the quotation was reduced three kroner.

French —The scarcity continues, and the home demand is sufficient to absorb nearly the whole of the present production for the next week or so. It lias been found neeesasry to raise export prices Od per dozen on rolls and 4s ">cr cwt. on fresh and salt baskets. Australian —The Mantua arrived in good time, and agents started by asking an advance of 2s to 4s over last week's prices, but this has only been obtained for a few of the best brands. Unfortunately the bulk of the butter just now is not up to the best standard. No doubt very hot weather was experienced at the time it was being made, and this would account for the falliiur-cIT. However, where a good factory comes up to its usual standard, there is no difficulty ill placing it at top price; but seconds are much harder to dispose of than they have been for some time, and we are now looking for a wider difference in value between best and seconds than we have had in the past. There are just a few odd lots unsokl at the time of writing, but 'we think that a reduction of a few shillings will soon clear them off.

Neiv Zealand—The Corinthic's butter was only on the market yesterdiy, although the steamer docked on the I'itii. There has been a very good demand, but it has not been quite sufficient to clear at last week's quotations, and to-day in sympathy with Danish, prices are 2s to 4s lower, but we expect at this reduction everything will be cleared before the next aTrival. We are pleased to say that the quality of the Corinthic's shipment was in every way satisfactory. CHEESE. New Zealand—There has been an improved demand, and the Corinthic's cheese is nearly all cleave! The quality generally speaking is good. The difference between white and colored ar. the moment, is as much as 2s in favor of the white, but we are rather'inclined to think that colored will improve in price and that they will shortly be more on a level.
