MR MASSEY'S PEREGRINATIONS

EXTERTAIX.ED OX THE WEST . COAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hokitika, Last Night. Mr. W. F. Massey, M.P., visited the Ross Goldfields' shaft to-day. I'he workings are now down to a depth of 375 feet, and Mr. Massey, attired in oilskins and a sou'-wester, descended to the bottom. He was much interested in the extensive plant and operations of the company generally. Mr. Mass'ev arrived at Hokitika at 7 o'clock, and was shortly afterwards entertained at a banquet by the Mayor and citizens of Hokitika. The Mayors of Kumara and Ross were among the visitors. The gathering was of a nonpolitical nature, and the function passed off most successfully.

Mr. Massey will meet a deputation at Greymoilth to-morrow in connection with the Native Reserves question.
