PROSPEROUS HALF-IEAH. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Received April 29, 9.25 p.m. Sydney, April 29. The half-yearly meeting of the Colonial Sugar Company has been held. The profits, after providing interest and all other charges, is £175,589, which, with the balance from last half-year, left available £258,471. A dividend of 5 per cent, for the half>ear has been declared, leaving £115,971 to the credit of profit and loss. An increase in the cost of working, resulting from the coal strike, was covered by an advance in sugar in the markets of the world. The report was adopted.
