BURGLARY AT WELLINGTON
TIER AND BOWKER CHARGED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Before Mr. W. G. Riddcll, S.M., in the Wellington Magistrate's Court to-day, Martin William Tier and Joseph Edward Bowker were charged conjointly as follows:—Breaking and entering the premises of Edward I'earce and Co. and stealing therefrom 110 pairs of hoots valued at £2O; breaking and entering the .premises of John Lindberg and stealing therefrom goods to the value of one shilling. There were four other charges against Tier. These alleged that he broke and entered the premises of the following persons and stole goods of the value stated:—On or about the 10th January, 1010, Robert v. Sinvpkiss, £0 lis; about the 20th November, Gollin and Co. Proprietary, Ltd., €lB 2s; on or about the same date, Harris, Morris and Co., £7 los; and on or about the same date, John Keir, (is 2d. Tier pleaded not guilty, nml reserved his defence. Bowker entered a pica of guilty. The former was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, and Bowker for sentence.
