Mr. Fry, director of the Westport School oi .Mini's, has .-eeured an option over a rich reel in the Poerua district 011 the Otira line. The reef has been traced and proved to he of exceptional value for ;i distance of half a mill'. It promises to eclipso anything vet discovered 011 the West Coast. The stone is unusually uniform in value, ranging as high as 3% ounces of fine gold to the ton.
