TRIBUTE TO JOSEPH CHAMBERLAIN. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright London, April 2G. Sir George Re id, at the Lord Mayor's luncheon at Birmingham, paid a great tribute to Mr. Chamberlain, who, he said, infused a new spirit into the Colonial Office.
He next discussed the potentialities of the State's enlarging the opportunities of the individual with ultimate •benefit to the community.

Reid, speaking at a Commoners' banquet, referring to the Commonwealth's voluntary preference in favor of the Motherland, said Englishmen could do something in return without awaiting the decision of political contests.
