Wheat.—The markets fire flat and tending to a lower level. Sellers are anxious to effect sales. Owing to the beneficial rains in the United States and the winter wheat belt being exceptionally favorable for seeding conditions there and in Canada, and owing also to the large shipments of the world, Holders of cargoes are reducing prices. Thirty-eight shillings is asked for Australian steamer February shipment; 38s 0d for sailing ships' February March; 38s 4'/ud for April-May. There is small inquiry. Australian spot, is quoted at about 41s. Parcels of 30,00(1 quarters of Victoria steamer March shipment sold for about 38s. New Zealand longberry. afloat, was vainly offered at 35s 6d c.i.f. Flour—'Market dull. Australian patents, April-May shipment, held for 27s Gd, sold for 29s' Od.

Oats —Market dull. Gartons. spot, 18s fid. 21s Pkl;. Sparrowliills, 18s fld to 20s 3d; La Plata, Mav-June, 14s 3d.

Butter. —Market weak and declining daily. The fine warm weather is causing An anticipation of large supplies shortly. Danish. 118s to 120s; Australian choicest, 110s to 112s; New Zealand. 112s to 14s.
