The animal report of the New Zealand Rugby Union shows that the income for the year practically balanced tile expenditure, a profit of ,5s being shown. The accumulated fund now stands at £11,308. Of this the following amounts are on loan to affiliated bodies: —Auckland £7OO, ITawke's Bay £1045, Otago £SOO, Southland £I2OO, Taranaki £325, Wanganui £OOO, Wellington £3250. Total £7020.
The report concludes: 'The authorities of the various unions throughout the Dominion have in tile main co-oper-ated loyally in promoting the best interests of the game, and it is with pleasure that the committee expresses confidence in the future of Rugby football in Hew Zealand."
An emergency meeting of the Taranaki Rugby Union was licld at Stratford yesterday afternoon to reconsider the fixtures arranged for the Northern Division, the previous arrangement of one senior match .being played in New Plymouth every Thursday having been departed from. * It was resolved that the fixtures as drawn up last year, -grounds being reversed, be adhered to. This arrangement should prove . quite satisfactory. as no complaints were made last year.
