On the recommendation of Dr. Valintine, the Gisborne Hospital Boardi decided to-night to purchase a new .site ■of about 25 acres for a hospital. At the quarterly meeting of the Teachers' Superannuation Board this morning it was reported that the balance to the credit of the fund was €131.300, which is invested at rales from 4 per cent, upwards. Seven contributors were granted allowances amounting to £S3O 14*. Other grants were also made and refunds granted amounting to .£844.
