BURGLARY AT WELLINGTON
A MAX ARRESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Xight. Last night a burglary was effected at Pearce's bootshop in Cuba-street, and a quantity of new' boots valued at £2O stolen. Mr. John E. Lindberg's drapery establishment was also broken into and property stolen. To-day -before noon Detectives Lewis and Rawle arrested a man named Martin Tier, who is alleged to be connected with the offence, and it is stated they recovered a large portion of the stolen property. Tier will he brought before the Magistrate to-morrow and charged with 'breaking, entering, and theft.
