Labor thus completely swept the Commonwealth for that Chamber. SOCIALISTS UNPOPULAR. REFERENDUM RESULTS NOT KNOWN.

Received April 20, 0.3 a.m. Sydney, Last Night. . Three New South Wales Socialist candidates for the Senate seem in a fair way to lose their deposits. Some half-dozen candidates for the House of Representatives are also considerably .short of the requisite number of votes to save their deposits. The referendum vote counting is slowly .proceeding in New South Wales. The "noes" have now established a growing majority on both issues. The issues are: 1. Shall the Commonwealth take over the enormous Commonwealth take over the enormous debts of all the States? 2., Shall the Commonwealth pay to the Treasurer of each State a yearly capitation of 250 for each person residing in the States?
