THE SENATE. LABOR*LEADS. By Cable—Preu As»ociatio»—Oopyrigkt, Sydney, April 18. Queensland has moved into line with the other States, placing three Labor Senators ahead. On the present showing Labor have 21 s'eats in the Senate against 13 held by the Fusionists. Mr. Fisher returned to Brisbane on Saturday. ■ A great gathering at the station gave him an enthusiastic reception. He leaves for Melbourne on Thursday. THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.! DETAILS OF THE VOTING. Sydney, April 18. The returns of the voting ror the House of Representatives are practically complete. The total number on the rolls is 2,156,339. and the vjtes' cast, not including informal, which are comparatively heavy, numbered 1.270. 934, Labor scoring" 033,382. Fiisionists 577,104, and Independents 50,448. The percentage of votes east is 57.75, compared with 51.48 in the 1900 election. In all States excepting Tasmania, where there is a. slight decrease, the percentage has substantially increased, particularly in Westralia. LABOR'S GREAT WIN. ; V FINE PERFORMANCE. Received April 18, 10.30 p.m. j Melbourne, April 18. j The complete Senate returns in Victoria show that three successful labor candidates polled 645,400, against 614,977 polled by the Liberals, the lowest Labor candidate being 2014 ahead. The leading Liberal is' Miss Y'ida Goldstein, the only woman candidate at the elections. She polled 53.348 votes.
