(From Our Resident Correspondent.)

The Waitara Road Dairy Co.'s payment to suppliers for March milk was £1134 19s 3d, as against £739 7s 7d for the eoresponding month of last year, when lOd was paid, as against 9y 2 d this season. The amount of milk received was 640,0281b5, as against 380,0071b5, an increase of 329,4211 hs. Butter fat produced totalled 28,4211b5, as against 17.74S lbs, an increase of 10,6731b5. Commercial butter made was 33,2541b5, against 20.1871b5. an increase of 5 tons 10 cwt 75Ibs. The average test was 4.44. On Tuesday afternoon, at St. John's Church, a very pretty wedding was celethe contracting parties being Miss M. Berntsen, of Waitara, and Mr. W. Christoffel, of Eltham. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion by the friends of the bride. The two bridesmaids were Misses Alberta Berntsen and Kate Christoffel. Mr. J. Christoffel acted as best man. The service was conducted by the Rev. G. W. Dent, of Eltham. The Rev. W. Wills, who succeeds the Rev. E. T. Reid, arrived on Wednesday morning, and will conduct service in the Methodist Church on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Young, who have sold their interest in the Waitara Hotel to Mr. A. Kerr, are leaving far Wellington on Saturday. It is their intention to spend a few weeks' holiday in Melbourne and Sydney.

WAITARA HARBOR BOARD. The adjourned monthly meeting o! the Waitara Harbor Board was held on Mondav evening. Present: Messrs G. H. Shibbs (chairman), W. F. Jenkins, IT. Ohappell. 11. Rpurdle, and W. T. Jenninsrs, M.P. The valuation committee reported Hint the new rentals for leases had been fixed. It was decided to write to the Noxious AVeeds Inspector drawing his attention to the growth on a number of sections leased from the Board. The chairman reported that the installation of the electric light at the pilot station was completed. It was decided to have a meter to record all the Board's lighting. The pilot's report stated that during the month 25 vessels entered the port, with a tonnage of 0260 tons. Ac-counts amounting to £54 4s 2d were passed for payment. ■ - - !
