FATALITY AT MOKAU.
CORPSE FOUND IN Till': BUSH. Sergeant Iladdrell received advice terday morning from Constable Warneford, at Mokau., that the body of a young man named Fred Adlam had been found in the bush at Waikawau.
It appears that the deceased young man, who was living at Mr. Fred Lovelock's camp, left there on Saturday to go to tli# Awakino sheep-dog trials. On Sunday afternoon Mr. Lovelock came across Adlnm's dogs in the bush, and, wondering whether there was anvthing wrong, endeavored to make the dogs disclose t.lieir master's whereabouts, but without success. On Wednesday Afternoon a Maori reported at the camp that he had found Adlanrs body in the bush, with his horse standing close by, with its bridle tangled in some scrub. Upon receiving this information. Mr. Lovelock at once rode through to Awakino, arriving there at iabout nine o'clock at night, and communicating the news to the police at 'Mokau. Adlam's people reside at Waitara.
