RAHOTU DOMAIN BOARD
(From Our Own Correspondents.) A public meeting was held here on Fridav night, the Sth instant, to appoint new trustees for the a-bove i>oar<v There was an attendance of about twenty. The names of the following gentlemen were recommended to be forwarded to Wellington for ratification: Messrs. Colmer, West. Wijlcox, Hughson, Guy, 11. Phillips, and Hodgson, The names of Messrs. Will cox, Phillips, and Hodgson were also to be added to the list of cemetery trustees. The secretary read the annual statement of returns as forwarded to Wellington. > Mr. Hughson then moved the following Resolution, which was unanimously carried:—"That this meeting of settlers in the Rahotu district regrets to hear of. the indisposition of Mr. F. M. Chapman. and hopes to hear of his speedy recovery. It also desires to place on record its thanks and appreciation of his timely action in securing to the district the Domain and Cemetery Reserves, which will ultimately be a' great boon to the district." A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. Hughson for the work he had done as chairman of the Board.
