AMUSEMENTS.

"MARRIED TO HE WRONG MAN." The record-breaker is the term that has been applied to the drama "Married to the Wrong Man," which Mr. George Marlow's dramatic company will stage in New Plymouth on Monday next, April 18, at the-Theatre Royal. And it would appear thit the designation is well deserved, for throughout Australia and in Englknd the piece has run to capacity business. The opening in New Zealand at Auckland on Easter Saturday saw the piece run to ten consecu tive performances, to the capacity of Auckland's largest .playhouse, His Majesty's Theatre. The Press everywhere have been unanimous in praising this drama, while the interpretation by the members of the specially selected company of Ejiglish and Australian artists—there are two English artists in the eonjpany, one of whom played the original role in London—is said to reach a very high standard. The London Morning Leader, with many other influential London journals remarked: "Entire approval; there is enough business to suit the most fastidious lover of melodrama." Australian and Auckland press criticisms have been, if anything more eulogistic. The box t'an for "Married to the Wrong Man" will be opened at Collier's Music Warehouse to-morrow (Thursday) morni'ip, where seats may be reserved, and judging by the experiences of other towns patrons would be v. ell advised in booking. Dav sale tickets for the hack stall and pit seats mav also be obtained at Collier's. The full metropolitan company and scenery, with all the necessary effects, will be sliown here, Mr. Murlow determining to give patrons of the be? 1 , in order to secure their patronage on hi 3 future visiti.
