The trouble which was threatened at the State coal mine has been satisfactorily ended, the two discharged men 'being cautioned and allowed to resume •work They had been dismissed because it was alleged that they had committed _a .breach of the Mining Act, which, howtver, they denied. The Miners Union took up the matter, and strong representations were made to the Minister of Mines, the union being of opinion that the men had not been fairly treated.
