AMUSEMENTS.
"BESSES 0' TH> BARX BAND." There was again a large audience at the Theatre Roval Inst evenine t.o hear "The Besses." Every items on the programme was heartoly applauded, and H is snfo to sav that the entertainment provided by this world-renowned combination has lessened little since it*' previous appearance m this town. The performance was the last of the season here, and the band leave New Plymouth to-day on a tour in the north prior to saving good-bve to the Dominion. The open air performance in the Hecreatin Grounds yesterday afternoon was also very lai-gely attended. The nrogramme. of course, was everything that it should he. and the terraced clapped out henrtv applause after eaefc item, many of which were encored.
