Mr. R. Aroa called our attention yesterday to a prime line of Up-to-Date potatoes, which he is selling at lis per sack of approximately l%cwt. They are prime Canterbury, and guaranteed Regular shipments of these, and of Derwonts from reliable growers, are coming to hand. "See Hoffmann about it." This; is the catch-phrase in a replace advertisement inserted by Mr L, E. Hoffmann, managing the local branch of the British and Continental Pijino Company. He enumerates the various pianos which lie is showing in his five showrooms, advises people to begin the winter with a new piano and to "see Hoffmann about it."
Day r y day new additions are being made to White and Sons' .millinery stock, as the hats .previously on stfiow vanish from the stands. Very a-pprecia tive remarks are heard with reference to the tastefulnesa and styles of our autumn, display of hats. White's will value a visit from those who have not already seen them.—Advt. J
