Dick Arnst, the champion scuHer of the world, left to-night by (he Moeraki for Sydney, where, prior'to leaving for South Africa to meet Bam- on" the Zambesi, he takes 'part in a hi., handicap race on the Purramatta, to be rowed on 30th April and 7th Mar.

Owing to Arnst's movements not being generally known, there was not a lame gathering of rowing enthusiasts on the platform.

Dr. Thaeker and a number of oilier friends and supporters of Arnst save him three very hearty cheers as "(he >train steamed off.

Jack Arnst leaves for Sydney next week, and accompanies his' brother to South Africa as his trainer.
