The American railways h;ve reduced grain freights from Fort William and Ontario to the sea with the object of capturing the Canadian grain trade. The Grand Trunk Line has also reduced rates and now asks that freight? on the Great Lakes and the Atlantic should tbe similarly reduced in order that the Canadian rate from Fort William to Liverpool should be equal to the American rate. j
