A TLMARU t'llinCH BURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Tiinaru, Wednesday. The Roman Catholic Church was burned down early this morning. The fire was first .-eon a in. Nt ■>.:<.■■] a.m., when it had a good hold on the western portion. As the building was forty years old, and built of wood, the lire spread rapidly, and within live minutes of the alarm it was apparent that the church was doomed. Two powerful jets of water had not the slightest, effect. The. fire at its height was a magnificent spectacle. The whole building and the contents in the way of <lnmh furniture were completely destroyed. The church and contents were insured for £looo. They were valued at £3OOO.
