JANET M'COLL'S DEATH
FURTHER PARTICULARS. INQUEST AGAIN ADJOURNED. By Telegraph. —Pres* Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The inquest concerning the death of Janet McColl, who died in the house of Mrs. Durston, nurse, at Momington, on 24th March, after having given birth to twins on 16th March, was resumed today. Elizabeth McColl, sister of the deceased, said that when she visited the deceased the latter looked very ill, and complained of being very tired. Witness suggested that deceased should go to the hospital, but Mrs. Durston said that was unnecessary. Witness also suggested calling m a doctor. On Monday, 31st March, witness, her brother, and another man came to Dunedin in the same train. Witness left her brother nnd the man at the Octagon. The latter would not take them to where deceased was, but said he would go himself. Witness had not seen the man since coming from Waitahuna. Dugald McColl, recalled, said that in Dunedin the man named said he would go and see if deceased was where he had .left her. Witness had not seen him since.
Sarah MeColl, in the course of her evidence, said deceased was missing for a week. In reply to the foreman of the jury, the Coroner said the police could not fin'! the man. The inquest was further adjourned till Mondav.
