The Appeal 'Court reserved judgment in the case of lladdart Parker Company v. the Collector of Customs. Mr Myers said it might be that the plaintiff company could deduct what they had paid in New Zealand when discharging their seamen in Melbourne, but whether they could or not was no concern of the New Zealand Court. Power to regulate coastwise shipping must include a power to regulate it while between port nnd port in New Zealand. Otherwise it would be illusory. The Court reserved judgment. j|
