At the inquest on Mary Brown, an ex-inmate of Teoranga Homo, who (lii-d at the hospital yesterday, twenty minutes after admission, the evidence of Drs'. Crocker and Short, of the hospital, was that the post mortem examination showed that the cause of death was phosphorus .poisoning. A verdict was returned that deceased committed s'uicide by swallowing a solution of matches whilst in an unsound state of mind. The, only explanation advanced was that on one occasion the matron is alleged to have told the girl that she would not lie able to see her son when he was- twent.yone years of
