To-night the Evening Post states there is every probability of the Banics of New Zealand refusing to accept tne new Australian silver coinage. The Government will, it is understood, support the banks in their attitude.

XO STORAGE FOP RABBITS. Tnvereargill, Monday. Owing to increased activity in the frozen export trade and a shortage of shipping, <lue to the temporary withdrawal of the Kaipara and Papanui, the Southland Frozen Meat and Export Company are closing down both works against rabbits from Saturday first to the end of the month. The Ocean Beach works also contemplate closing for a month. It is anticipated that rabbits will be received again on M May.
