SCULLING.
POSTPONED THROUGH BAD WEATHER. lij Telegraph.—Press Association. Akaroa, Last Night. The sculling race for the championship of the >vorld between Dick Arnst, the present champion, and George Welch, challenger, was to have been rowed on the Akaroa harbor on Saturday afternoon, but had to be postponed on"account of the heavy sea running. Moth men had trained up to the day, and delay may possibly affect them. A large crowd of visitors were present, many of whom will have to return without seeing the race. The race will come off at 3 p.m. on Monday; failing that, 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday. To-day (Sunday) a nor'wester is blowing, and indications are not promising.
