THE TE ANAU. The Te Anau, which is to replace the Koonya in the coastal cargo service, has been delayed at Dunedin and constquently is not expected here till Wei nesday. It is understood'that the Te Anau is to permanently replace th, Koonya, the latter going solely into t\°coal trade.
THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond, which omitted New Plymouth on her trip up from Wellington last week, arrived here late on Saturday night—too late to allow of discharge. Unloading was to have been proceeded with in the early hours of this morning, and it was expected nat the vessel would be despatched for Wellington at 6 a.m. The Rosamond's We ; - lington cargo amounted to 140 tons, including 375 sacks of chaff from Picton, and also transhipments ex lonic from London. There were to have been taker, away from here 3600 crates of cheese for transhipment to the Rimutaka.
THE CORINNA. The Corinna arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning, but was unable to berth, owing to the sinking of thai dredge close to the wharf, and had to drop anchor in the lee of the breakwater. The Rosamond occupied the western berth, and as only one bertn was left available on the eastern si \- this had to be reserved for the Rarawa. The Corinna will take the Rosamond's' •place when the latter sails at 6 a.m. The Corinna has a quantity off explosives on board\ from Onehunga roithe Harbor Board and after discharging this she loads 9469 boxes of butter (the majority of which is for transhipment to the Rimutaka at Wellington) and a quantity of general cargo. •
The Paparoa, which left Lyttelton for] London, via iSouth America, oh i'ridav, took 450 tons of agricultural maehinery (transhipped from Melbourne) for Bahia Blanca, in the Argentine. On February 10 there was launched on the Clyde a twin-screw steel steamer of about 7000 tons, named Levuka, which has been built to the order of the Australasian United Steam Navigation Co, Ltd., for the Australian coasting and Pacific trade.
The new passenger and mail liner now being built by Messrs Denny Bros, of Dumbarton, for the New Zealand Shipping Company, will be named Rotorua. The steamer will be similar in general respects to the Ruahine, but -. slight' y larger, and will be fitted with a combination of reciprocating and turbine engines as in the case of the Otaki.
