The inquest on the body of Janet I Mcl'oll. who died a', the residence of J Mrs Durstou, Morniiigion, on March2s, j after liavin:, given birth to twins on I March Hi. v,.is continued to-dav, before I Mr Widdov .-on. I -Mrs Dur-.0.i said -he was ladies' nurse, bm unregistered. Deceased called at her place on March 15 and engaged a room for a week or so. AHer going to ben tn.it night deceased was very sick, l.ut said *h'e had been sick for six week-, and advised witness to take no notice of it. Deceased got worse as the night advanced, and event-* ua.lly admitted her .oadition, adding that she had In en taking medicine and pills for four months. Next morning deceased was voiiCmed. Deceased informed wiine-.* that nothing had been done to bring on n mis'-irrage, ewept that <he hut be, ;i ink:p.;, medicine and pills up till M.r.vh ■_>!. Deceased appeared to be progressing splendidly. Witness consulted deceased's relations as- to getting' a doctor, but they agreed it was not e ves-ary to do so.' \in tne right of Ma: h ->-\ deceased became very 'll. and inc.!'. a! assistance was- sought. Dr Ei tenett a.iived early in (he morning, hut deceased died «oon afterward*. Dr Fitchelt said Mrs Diaston did not' seem to realise the gravity of the cane. The post mortem examination showed marked evidence; of septic peritonitis, and death was due to general septicperitonitis, due to puerperal infectionotherwise blood poisoning. There was an injury which he was" at a loss to explain. The suggestion was that an instrument or something else had been iis'ed.
