HARBOR PROTECTION.

NEW ZEALAND'S WANTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Received April 1, 8.50 p.m. London, April 1

Moreover, all the old cruisers the Navy is {retting rid of are perfectly useless to protect our commerce, and equally useless in colonial waters. New Zealand, while continuing her monetary contribution to the Imperial Navy, supported the us? of submarine destroyers in her waters. It was intended to use this class of protection at an earlv date.
