AREAS FOR TRAINING. A COMMISSION SET UP. By Telegraph.—Pres*' Awoeiatien. ChristchuVeh. Last Night. The Prime Minister, who arrived here this morning, states that Mr. \Y. C. Kensington, Under-Secretary of Lnnds. Mr. J. Strauehon, Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and Colonel TT. D. Tuson, Adjutant-General, have been appointed a commission to go through both islands and make a selection of traininggrounds (one for each island) required for the training of Territorials. Train-ing-grounds are required independently of those recommended by Lord Kitchener in connection with "th<? area system. Th>y will require to be sufficiently large to enable complete training to 'oe parried out in all branches of the serYicfc. including jninnerr. The commission. of which Mr. K>n=ineto)i jc to oe chairman. will commence its work at an early date.
