FEDERATIONS CONFER IX WELLINGTON". Ry Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, Tuesday. Tho Drivers', Painters', and Shearers' Unions are holding federation meetings in Wellington at present. The main purpose of the drivers is to establish a New Zealand drivers' federation. Last year rules and regulations governing such federation were practically settled. This year's conference has confirmed the work of its predecessor, and the federation is now- an established fact. The painters' conference is to bring about uniformity and unanimity in the^matter of subscriptions and rules. The object of the shearers' federation is to secure complete unanimity in matters of general interest, also'to review the shearing season just over. SLAUGHTERMEN RESUME WORK. Auckland, Tnesdav.
