WAGGON BLOWN OVER.
DRIVER SERIOUSLY INJURED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Lawrence correspondent of tb» Star states that a serious accident hap pened this morning to Geo. Welch, or Beaumont, whilst driving a covered-in light wagon to Lawrence. He wag on top of a big hill cutting. A heavy gale of wind was l blowing, and this overturned the vehicle, and hurled Welch from the seat. He fell on his head o> the metalled road, and was apparently dragged a little distance till tW horses were stopped. When picked up, Welch was insensible, and was removed to the Tuapeka Hospital. Dr Sutherland, trio dressed the mounds, is not yot in a; position to say whether Welch will recover or not.
