Mr. Foster Fraser, in an article in the Standard, accused the youns; Australians of slackness and flaccidifry, due to the languorous climate. Mr. Coghlan, replving, points to their proficienev in athletics. He denies thatthe Australian workmen's energy and enterprise are inferior to Englishmen's. He instances that linotvnists, compositors, coopers, and bricklayers are quicker workers than English.
