WATER POWER.
A CHRISTCHURCH VIEW. By Telegraph.—Press' Association. Christchurch, March 23. The Mayor, discussing t'he Government's water ipower proposals, hoped they would not prevent Christchurch goipg on with the scheme for harnessing Lake Coleridge, but if the Government took over the lake scheme it ought to sell power to people at cost price and not make it a taxing machine.
