Hewitt's Pictures to-night The annual meeting of the Guards' Saturday Football Club will' be "held in the Drill Hall this evening. The annual meeting of the Carrington Road Hockey Club will be held at the Town Hall on 30th March, at 7.30 p.m. Messrs. Clarke Bros, have just installed in their hairdressing saloon in Brougham-street a very handsome piece of furniture in the shape of a new hydraulic barber's chair. The woodwork of the chair is solid carved oak, and the fittings of electro-plated steel. The upholstery is of the best, and the chair is a very comfortable one. The mechanical adjustments are very cleverly conceived, and the chair can be placed into any desired position by simply working a lever, the movements being absolutely free from any jarring to the occupant. Wnngatiui River excursions—The public are reminded that from Thursday next, the 24th inst., steamers will run dailv to and from Pipiriki, and that the TainnarunuiWanganui service will be run as usual.
