DISTRICT NEWS
RAHOTU. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Clmrch of England Harvest Festival was held here on. Tuesday last, the 15fch March, in the public hall. There wag a fair attendance, and a good musical programme was provided. The accompaniments were played by Miss Smith, a visitor from Wellington, who at special request also played a pianoforte solo in splendid style. The mjsi""l programme included songs by Mrs. V'. ~ht, Messrs Willoughbv and Kelly 'and tl.e Rev Addenbroke, "with a pianoforte duet by Misses Hughson and Laybourn. The sale of produce and gifts was proceeded with after the concert, the auctioneer "being Mr. Jackson, of Opunake, with Mr. T. P. Hughson as tally clerk. The whole affair went off pleasantly, and a fair sum was added to the funds.
