Writing to Mr. Morel, secretary of the Congo Reform Association, the Primate of England denies that he is satis, fied with the present position of affairs in the Congo. He was not merely disappointed, but rendered profoundly uneasy toy Sir Edward Grey's speech in the House of Commons. He added that 'it was impossible for him to share the Foreign Office's gentle optimism and chivalrous consideration for the difficulties of the new Sovereign. He concluded: "It does not relieve us oi our responsibility."
