FOOTBALL.

) OKAIAWA CLUB. The annual meeting of .the Okaiawa Football Club was hold on Tuesday evening, -when there was a very good attendance. Mr. A. Lees was voted to the chair. The secretary (Mr. W. A. Carroll) read the report and balance-sheet. The report dealt with, the affairs of the club during the past season. Last year ic was found impossible to'raise a senior .team, and the club was in' dagger of losing their district, tut thanks to the good' work of' Messrs O'Sullivau and Crowley, the Union allowed them to 'retain it, the senior players tin-owing in their lot with Kaponga, and the juniors forming a team kn6wu? as Kaponga B. The latter ■were successful in winning the southern division competition, but lost in the play-off with Eltham. The club would have a first-class ground to play on this season in -101 l Park. The balace-sheet showed a slight loss on the year's working, but with the balance from the previous year the funds were still in credit to the amount of £6 10s 2d.

Upon tie motion of Messrs X. Crocker ' and Lynskey, it was unanimously de- ' cided to enter a senior team.

The election of offieers resulted:— Presidents, Mr. F. McGuire; vice-presi-dents, Messrs McKenzie, Mace, A. Lees, r \ A. Bremer, J. Bailey, G. Betts, W. A. Ci'"- 1 !, T. Wells, E. 0. drivers, Lyall, W. Ross, Clarke, Koarere, Groves, J. Heslop, R. Johnstone, J. Barber, J. B. Murdoch and A. Nielson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Mace; general committee, Messrs A. Lees, Millan, N. Crock, er, Waldorf and Roberts; club captain, Mr. J.' Crowley; selection committee, Messrs Lees and Wells,'t to act in conjunction with the captain of each team; delegates to Union, Messrs Jas. O'Sullimn and J. Crowley. It was decided to enter two teams for the cup competitions. It was decided to £jivn- notice of motion to the Union that there be a better distribution of districts next season.
