ATHLETICS.
CALEDONIAN SOCIETY ENTRIES. Very good entries have been received tor the running and cycling events at ' the New Plymouth Caledonian .sports ■' on Easter Monday. The amateur events particularly have filled well, and capital sport should be witnessed in tli.s branch. The cash events have also drawn good nominations. As anticipated, the fields 'are 'practically confined to Taranaki * athletes. The cycle entries are not quite large as the big fields of last year! j Attention is directed to the fact that •' the time for receiving entries has been '""extended till 10 o'clock to-night.
