A SYDNEY TRAGEDY.
BARMAID SHOT DEAD. MURDERER TURNS REVOLVER UPON HIMSELF. By Cacle.—Prees Assoeiation.-Copyriglit Received March 15, 10.30 p.m. Sydney, Last Night. A barmaid named SUt'rk, employed at the Cafe Italien in Bond-street, was shot dead this afternoon by * ma» calling himselt Walter Lovett. Lovett entered the bar and fired shot after shot at the woman, who fell bleeding from several wounds. Lovett then turned the revolver on himself and inflicted minor wounds. The woman died almost immediately, exclaiming: '"Look after my girl!" Lovett told the proprietor on Saturday that Stark was his wife. TERRIBLE WOUNDS. MURDERER BEEN DRINKING HEAVILY. Received March 16, 0.10 a.m. Sydney, Later. Stark had her left eye "completely blown out and two terrible wounds in the head and two others in her body. The murderer stated he was a commercial traveller and had been drinking heavily.
