In order to allow her to pick up her time-table running, the Rosamond: will omit Nelson on her trip up this week, but will call at Picton. Nelson cargo will come on by the Corinna on Friday. THE KINI. The Kini completed discharging her local cargo of coal last evening and sailed for Oneliunga with the remainder. MORE COAL.

Two steamers are due at this port from Westport this week, both with coal for the local branch of the Westport Coal Company. The Moa is due to-day and the Himitangi on Saturday. AN EASTER EXCURSION. Should sufficient inducement offer by the 19th inst., the Union S.S. Co. will run a special trip from Wellington to the Marlborough Sounds at Easter by the Takapuna. The itinerary includes calls at Picton (both ways), Tory Channel, Queen Charlotte Sound, Pelorus Sound, etc.—a delightful trip. The vessel is to- leave Wellington on Thursday, 24th inst., and return on Tuesday, 29th, thus giving an excellent opportunity i'or viewing the famous scenery. THE RIMU. The Rimu is due here to-day from Onehunga and Kawhia, and proceeds later to Opunake and Wanganui. She is to call here on her return trip on Friday to load cargo for Kawhia. THE WAITARA TRADE. The Waitara Mail is informed that the Northern Company contemplate putl ting The Waitangi on the West Coast run about the end of this month, and will include Waitara in her calling places. The Claymore is then to go round to the Waitemata, and will he lengthened, giving a lightened draught. Those alterations will take about three ot four months to carry through.

THE DEVON'S CARGO. The cargo taken by the Home liner Devon from Waitara was as follows: — 3476 quarters beef, 500 carcases mutton, 4630 quarters lamb, 126 pieces beef, 134 casks tallow. All the cargo is for Liverpool, jvith the exception of 289 quarters of beef, which will go to Glasgow. THE VIGANELLA.
