ROUGH WEATHER.
ON THE AUSTRALIAN COAST. PLIGHT OF A DREDGE. TWO MEN MISSING. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received March 13, 7.20 p.m. Sydney, March 12. A tugboat towing the dredge Ulysses up to the Richmond river lost her tow. The whereabouts of the dredge is unknown. She has eight men aboard. The vessel has 110 propelling power, A heavy sea is running. The Government is arranging for the sending of a search steamer. South-easterly gales and drenching rain prevail. Sydney, Later. The Ulysses drifted ashore"about five miles south of the Evans river. The crew is safe, but a punt with two men aboard is still missing. The barque Hazel Craig, which left •Newcastle on Wednesday" for Wellington. put into Sydney in a leaking condition. She ran in heavy weather for two hundred miles off the coast, and, straining herself, she started to leak. The captain decided to, make for Svdncv.
Owing to the weather all sports are off.
