The principal events fired for were the Champion Team Match, the first stage of the Empire Match and the Cordon Highlanders' Trophy, and the ■United Service -Match. These were not completed, owing to the heavy downpour which prevailed all the afternoon. The scores are no criterion of the marksmen.
New Zealand won the Cordon Highlanders' trophy by seven hits to four, and at the close of the first stage of the Empire Match New Zealand was leadiiK' bv 21 points.
