ELEVEN OR FiETEEX'? To the Editor. Sir.- —As one wuo was the original mover of the motion for eleven players against the Australians, and in reply to the differcne opinions expressed bv tlv; opponents of the motion, permit me to say that trom a numerical point of view it would almost lie impossible to anything like equalise the relative strength of the two learns. A draw might be ob. tained by playing 115. The public, and they art what arc most concerned as to the financial success of the match, do not, nor could they reasonably expect to see North Taranaki in any quantity of players beat the Australians, out what they most certainly expect is to see several of the finest exponents of the game in the world, suefi as Banlsley and .Armstrong, giving an exhibition of their ■kill, and it will be a bitter disappointment to the public if either of these players are not included Jijjainst us simply because we have represented our strength against them as the weakest in New Zealand.—l am, etc., E. WHITTLE.
