"Hewitt's Pictures to-night. The Taranaki Education Board invites tenders, to close March 21, for work at various schools. i For the convenience of pianola purchasers, Mr. L. E. Hoffman, manager of the New Plymouth branch of the British and Continental Tiano Company, has opened a library of music for the pianola. This enables every subscriber, at a nominal annual charge, to have the use of ever three hundred pieces a year. The library contains over a thousand of the latest and best selections, and additions are made by almost every direct steamer. The pianola is an instrumailt which will aid you in playing your piano, ft does the hard technical work, leaving the player to infuse his own personality into the music. He does not nlay the pianola, but by its aid, even though he does not know a single note of music, with the pianola's assistance he plays the piano. A special feature in the programme of the St. Patrick's concert will be the Hibernian step-dancing, consisting of Irish reels and jigs, The New riymouth. Orchestra has kindly consented to play two appropriate selections. Taking it /ill through, the programme, which, of ♦•urse, will include mainly Irish item*, will anpeal to all classes, and those who idteid th.> Theatre on Thursday evening, 17th March, will have the pleasure of listening to some first-class music, both vocal and instrumental.'
